Summer Teaching Positions
The Graduate School of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks visiting faculty for its two summer sessions in 1997. We need persons with exceptional teaching skills to teach courses in the areas of technology (library automation, telecommunications, and distributed information systems), management, reference (including online information systems), and advanced cataloging and classification. In exchange we offer collegial faculty colleagues, wonderfully supportive office staff, and a decent salary. People looking for time in the ALA archives or a chance to use our library and advanced information technologies may find this a perfect fit.
The first summer session runs May 19-June 14; the second begins June 16 and ends August 11. For additional information and to apply, contact either Dean Leigh Estabrook (leighe@uiuc.edu) or Assistant Dean Curt McKay (curtb@uiuc.edu).
