The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) seeks an experienced faculty member to teach and conduct research in the areas of information technology, indexing and bibliometrics, and academic library management; to advise masters and doctoral students; and to serve on the SLIS and campus-wide committees.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science, or a related field, have teaching experience in an accredited Library and Information Science program, and have a demonstrated record of research and scholarly publishing. Previous teaching experience is preferred for this tenure track position.

Starting Date:

January 5, 1997 or August 18, 1997.

Salary:

Minimum of $37,000 for the academic (9 month) year, plus generous fringe benefits and optional summer teaching.
