The CAMiLEON project has investigated new ways of applying migration in a more sensible and effective way. This new approach is named "Migration on Request".

Migration on Request

With Migration on Request, the original bytestream is preserved unchanged over time, and a conversion tool is maintained to provide access in original formats to the original document.
