This site was created by members of the Cultural Heritage Initiative for Community Outreach (CHICO), which is based at the University of Michigan School of Information (SI). The CHICO members involved in the creation of this site are listed below. The CHICO members worked closely with Wild Swan Theater to create this site to accompany their performance of Along the Tracks. Wild Swan Theater provided a teacher's guide, a summary of the plot and access to their materials and actors. We greatly appreciate the work of Wild Swan Theater and thank them for this opportunity to collaborate with them. I am a second year Master's student at SI, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction. I got my Bachelor's degree in Education at Beijing Normal University, China, and worked as a teacher teaching Psychology and Counseling. Before I came to UM, I went to Calvin College, Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated with a Master's in Education. During my time at SI, I have been working on several web sites as an Information Architect, Graphic Designer, programmer, and Usability Specialist as well. I've gained lots of experience in web site designing, which I can contribute to CHICO.
I just arrived in Ann Arbor in January from Columbus, Ohio. So, this is my first term at SI. I completed my undergraduate degree in French at the Ohio State University. In Columbus, I spent 5 years working for the Columbus Metropolitan Library. I am very excited about pursuing my masters degree at the University of Michigan. I brought my husband with me, and so far we love Ann Arbor. Wild Swan Theater is just one example of the unique and creative atmosphere in this town, and I feel privileged to be a part of the project and to be working with the CHICO team. I am a Master's student
at SI with a concentration in Human-Computer Interaction. After receiving
my undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematical Science, I gained industry
experience as an Engineer/Scientist for Lockheed Martin. When time allows,
I enjoy reading and the arts! I am truly excited to be a part of the CHICO
team and welcome the opportunity to contribute to this year's projects!
