Just how many ways
can animals be useful?
The pictures in this
part of the exhibit were taken in Egypt by Kelsey photographers during
the 1920s and 1930s.

of the University of Michigan, Alexander Ruthven, and his wife rode
camels while sightseeing at the pyramids near Cairo.
- On another Egyptian
sightseeing trip, the wife and son of Francis Kelsey, and the famous
photographer G. R. Swain, rode mules.
