Ancient Greeks and Romans had animals all around them in their daily lives as well. Toys, lamps, and other household items were decorated with, or in the shape of, all sorts of creatures.

Do you recognize any of these animals? Do they look like something you might have in your house? In the case on the right are modern items you might use in the same way as the old things on the left.
