Harlem: 1900-1940 was originally published in 1991 by the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, The New York Public Library. It was compiled and written by Nashormeh N. R. Lindo and designed by Kenneth McFarlin and Alice Cheung. Howard Dodson, Betty Gubert, Jim Huffman, Kim Jefferson, Deborah Willis, Roberta Yancy and Donna Mussenden-Van der Zee provided invaluable assitance and support. This web site version is based in part on the 1991 publication.
