The Oral Tradition
Before the written word people communicated through stories. In many parts of West Africa, oral tradition is still strong today. Find out more about storytelling, African drumming and dance, the griots of West African culture and the world-renowned West African performing groups: Doudou N'Diaye Rose and the West African Drummers and the Ballet D'Afrique Noire.
