African Americans in Ann Arbor were very active in their churches. In fact, two churches in particular played a huge role in the lives of many African Americans: Bethel AME and Second Baptist. The following clips cover the history and meaning behind these churches. Also, Martha Washington Graham shares her memories of spiritual involvement.
