Dr. Joetta Mial

Dr. Joetta Mial has been active in education her entire career. She was a high school teacher when African American students began demanding equal education in the sixties. The students wanted more African American teachers and a better curriculum with an African American focus. Dr. Mial recounts her experiences with the Civil Rights Movement as an educator and administrator in Ann Arbor Public Schools. | |||
