Daniel S. Hazlett

 

Performing songwriter Dan Hazlett's original contemporary folk songs deal with social issues and explore the inner landscape. With a rich, warm, voice and skillful acoustic guitar work, his performance are memorable and uplifting. During a career spanning more than twenty years, Dan has been actively touring the Midwest, Maine and Canada. His second CD, Our Little Secret, received strong airplay throughout he US and he was a guest on such radio shows as The Mitch Album Show on WJR and Saturday Over Easy with Carey Carlson on WCSC. Dan has experience opening for National performers like Cliff Eberhardt and David Roth and hosts his own folk radio show on WXOU-FM at Oakland University.

A prolific songwriter, Dan Hazlett is currently at work on his fifth full-length recording while doubling as a producer and session musician for many local artists. Dan also presents interactive songwriter workshops and residencies tailored to middle school, high school and adult students.
