San
helped us learn a lot about the Holocaust because his ancestors
were in it.
I got ot research something I probably wouldn't have if we didn't
get the chance to do a TV presentation.
It helped us learn because it was more hands-on, and we were teaching
each other.
I learned a lot about the gold rush and how Americans moved west.
I
learned about Mark Twain and Loggers, and what it was like to live
on the frontier.
I
thought this project was creative; it helped me learn about the
1800s.
I
learned that the pioneers used songs to bring out some humor.
I
learned a lot about waht the miners had to live through.
It
wasn't my type of music, but I learned something different and that
was cool.
It
was really fun to make up our own folk music!
I
am a visual and listening kind of learner, so it was all good.

day music.
It
was very educational and inspiring. It taught me a lot about the
south.

The singing helps you imagine how things were.
He
made the South's Depression come alive with music.

I
learned a lot about the history and roots of American music and
had fun as well.
I
thought his lecture/performance was very informational. I learned
a lot about the roots of my people. I knew that the music of yesterday
and today was taken from my ancestors, but I learned more.
I
was extremely surprised about the history and roots of music in
the United States.
It
was fun. I found that this presentation gave me a better idea about
where our modern music came from. He showed how it evolved and mixed
with other cultural music to develop into the music that most modern
teenagers know about and listen to.
(Teacher): It was a great experience - He was entertaining and knowledgeable.
The kids really enjoyed him.
(Teacher):
He was extremely knowledgeable and I think we all learned a great
deal about the roots of American music.
