The Sun
by Natalie Korzon
from Dr. Elais' science class at Clague Middle School

Without it we can't live
It has so much light to give
It makes me so warm at night
But its burn gives you a fright
If you look at it too long
Your sight just may be gone

The sun, the sun, it's our star
The sun, the sun, it shines from afar!

Just wear your sunglasses
And lotion in great masses
It is good but also bad
and the Cancer makes me mad
Cuz I like to get a tan
But I get hot and need a fan

The sun, the sun, it's our star
The sun, the sun, it shines from afar!

The Sun (rap format)
by Julia Young

The sun is a hot spot
it's not a tot spot
And if you get near
You will have no fear
'Cause you won't even be here

The sun is bright, uh huh, uh huh
It gives us light, uh huh, uh, huh
Hot sun, hot sun
And it's no fun
From a distance it's okay
For as - long - as you say
I will wear sunblock
Won't be a burnt jock

The sun is bright, uh huh, uh huh
It gives us light, uh huh, uh, huh
You don't want skin cancer
So give me an answer
You wanna burn"?
You wanna burn?
Then turn over, you fool
'Cause it aint cool
To look like a prune
As you cry in your room
'Cause you can't sleep a peep
You'll be counting sheep

The sun is bright, uh huh, uh huh
It gives us light, uh huh, uh, huh
