Tahquamenon Falls is located about 8 miles west of
Paradise in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Tahquamenon Falls has
two parts to it, the upper falls and the lower falls. Please read
on for more information.
The
Lower Falls
The
lower falls is located on an island
not far from the mainland. Although
to get there we got to take
a small boat across the river.
The
lower falls, although breathtaking, are much smaller than the upper falls.
The roaring water, that can be heard from a long way away is quite dangerous
and should not be underestimated.
The Upper Falls
The upper
falls appears to be the strongest
part of the whole Tahquamenon Falls and by the water falling so quickly
from so high it creates a marshmallow color of foam. The current
between the water at the upper falls is so strong, it is forbidden
for tourists (or anybody else) to be near. For more information
