The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and the Bay Mills Indian Community members live in the eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan. These web pages represents the work of the CHPI 1999 participants during June 1999. While this is a record of their work accomplished during the workshop, they will continue to develop other web pages that reflect geography, history and culture in the region.
