Is there a Community Network in our town?

The Community Connector Directory allows you to search for community networks by state.  The focus is on non-profit community networks.  Listings provide information on each CN's origin, mission, and website highlights.

The Public Access Network Directory allows you to search community networks by keyword ("children", "San Francisco") as well as by state. Unfortunately, many of the directory listings lack links to the listed CN's website.

Victoria Telecommunity Network's Community Computer Networks and Free-Net Web Sites is a current and comprehensive international listing of web-accessible community networks and free-nets. It is maintained by volunteers of the Victoria Telecommunity Network.

Excite Local allows you to punch in your zip code and get listings of local websites. Click on "Community" to find community networks, which can include universities and commercial guides, as well as nonprofit community networks.

Yahoo! Get Local has a clickable map of local Yahoo! pages.  Click on "Community,"  then "Guides" to find eclectic listings of non-profit, personal, and business sources of local information.
