SILS and the Ford Presidential Library and Museum
This site represents some of the current and past collaborations between
the University of Michigan's School of Information and Library Studies
and the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum. Please note that
this is not the home site for the Ford Library.
The University of Texas currently houses the Ford Library's main
Web site.
This experimental project is meant to demonstrate the possibilities that the
WorldWideWeb offers for an archival institution to enhance and increase
both scholarly and popular access to the institution's collections. The
project is the result of a collaborative effort between the Ford Library and
Museum and the University of Michigan's School of Information and Library
Science.

This experimental online tool represents the Gerald R. Ford Library's
first attempt at making historical material available to remote
researchers. Originally created by SILS student Serena Gomez
as part of a directed field experience at the Ford Library, this finding
aid is now available via the University of Texas.
