ca. 1909-1927.

Manufactured by: G.P. Pilling & Son, Co., Philadelphia.

Description: Sphygmomanometer. Mahogany case with spring catch and lid hinged at one end; lid houses glass U-tube mercury column with stopcocks at each end of U-tube; one end connects to a metal air flow tube with a screw valve, and two nipples one with a stopcock; nipples are used to connect to rubber tubes; graduated scale from 0 to 300 mm. is also housed on lid between U-tube arms. Rubber pressure bag, enclosed in leather arm cuff with straps and buckle closures, connects to rubber tubing that fits to nipple on metal air flow tube. Metal pump connects to second rubber tube that fits to second nipple on metal air flow tube. Metal tag on lid interior marked: "FAUGHT BLOOD PRESSURE APPARATUS -- MADE BY G.P. PILLING & SON CO. -- PAT APR. 6, 1909. PHILADELPHIA, U.S.A." 11 x 41 x 10.5 cm.
