Hellige normal haemometer

Manufactured by: J.F. Hartz Co., Detroit.

Description: Hemometer. Painted metal stand with two amber glass prism standards fixed inside; opaque glass plate attached to back of stand; graduated glass tube fits into metal stand through round hole in top; graduated tube marked: "10-170, % Hgb" in red and "10-140 Sahli-We[rt]" in white. Also included in set: glass dropping pipette; capillary pipette with rubber tube and glass mouthpiece; stirring rod; glass vial with rubber stopper in wood case that unscrews in center. Case marked on lid: "Hellige-Normal-Haemometer". Cardboard scale with "Original Sahli units -- real gram oxyhaemaoglobin in 100 cc blood -- per cent oxyhaemaoglobin on the base of 17 gr." Case: 16 x 5 x 9 cm.
