Description: Microscope. Horseshoe base is 11 x 12 cm. with an 8 cm. jointed, rectangular pillar with locking lever; stand model Ic for photomicrography and projection; tube column is shaped to form a handle; rack and pinion course adjustment of body tube; upper body fitted with Berger's micrometer movement for fine adjustment; body tube is 9 x 6 cm. in diameter with removable plates on each end; upper plate has graduated drawtube with screw-on light collar and eyepiece; lower plate has sliding objective changer for single objective; photomicrographic stage with two con-axial milled heads for movement of stage; movement read by two separate scales and verniers; substage is rack and pinion with Abbe condenser and iris diaphragm with swingout iris diaphragm below condenser; 5 cm. double mirror; body tube signed: "Carl Zeiss -- Jena -- No. 32415;" rear of base marked "Ph." 29 x 18 x 15 cm.
