Description: Semi-flexible gastroscope. Chromium with glass lens, air feeding port with threaded cap, electrical connection with switch and detachable light control handle at proximal end; tubular metal shaft is scored from midpoint to distal end and covered by permanent protective plastic sheath; distal end has slits for air inflation of stomach; also includes: lamp housing with tapered, flexible rubber tip, inflating bulb and tubing, electrical connections, protective rubber sheath and anesthesia tube. Proximal end of instrument is marked: "U.S. PAT. 2325831-1985196-1915811 -- OMNIANGLE -- REG.U.S.PAT.OFF. -- CAMERON SURGICAL SPECIALTY CO. -- CHICAGO, U.S.A. -- CANADIAN PAT. 1944 -- 918". Instrument housed in wood case with velvet lining. Scope: 74 cm x 1.1 cm. diam.; Case: 84.0 x 10.0 x 14.2 cm.
