Description: Formaldehyde generator. Brass, wickless lamp with attached collar. Base is 18 cm. in diameter with priming pump and kerosene inlet. Base marked: "PRIMUS -- COOKING & HEATING APPR, CO., N.Y. -- USE ONLY KEROSENE -- PAT JULY 4[?]". Collar has 14 cm. diameter opening at top and is marked: "THE NOVY -- FORMALDEHYDE GENERATOR -- PARKE, DAVIS & CO." Lamp is 36 cm. high. Closed, brass pot, 13 cm.(diam.) X 15.2 cm. Narrow, tapering spout and funnel attached to top of pot. Spout is 36 cm. long; funnel is 2.5 x 5 x 2.5 cm. with threaded stopcock in middle.
