Dr. Watson A. Young: Dr. Young was born September 27, 1915 in Abbeville, South Carolina. He received his medical degree in 1942 from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and interned at the Homer Philips Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Young then began a private practice in Inkster, MI, taking time out to serve as a major in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. Dr. Young specialized in obstetrics and gynecology. He is a member of the Detroit Medical Society, the Wolverine State Medical Society, the National Medical Association, the Wayne County (Mich.) and Michigan State Medical Societies, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Abdominal Surgeons and is a life member of the NAACP.
