Presentation: This session will be devoted to doctoral student career options. We will focus on interesting careers pursued by University of Michigan Ph.D. recipients in the social sciences who did not choose professorial jobs. We will be presenting a panel of several graduates who have chosen various career paths, including consulting, research, and policymaking. They will briefly discuss their career options, with time for questions/discussion. We are also planning to include an expert on job opportunities for Ph.D. graduates.
