The seminar provides a forum for the discussion of research and theory about organizations and organizational processes. In keeping with its interdisciplinary character, the seminar will consider both macro and micro processes and their intersection. Discussion leaders will be drawn from faculty and advanced graduate students within The University of Michigan as well as from other universities and centers for research on organizations. Note: Unless otherwise noted on the syllabus, all sessions are held at the School of Education, Room 4212, Friday's from 1:30-3:00 p.m. The seminar will now begin promptly at 1:30 p.m., instead of 'Michigan Time'.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND EVALUATION |
| 3-4 CREDITS: Students will read all papers presented at the seminar, attend each session, and write a paper for review by an affiliated faculty member of the Business School faculty sponsor (Jerry Davis) or School of Information faculty sponsor (Michael Cohen). Papers written for this seminar are expected to be written for this course alone. |
| 2 CREDITS: Students will read all papers, attend each seminar, and write a mini-paper (10-15 pages) for review by an affiliated faculty member or the Business School faculty sponsor (Jerry Davis) or School of Information faculty sponsor (Michael Cohen). |
| 1 CREDIT: Students will read all papers presented at the seminar, as well as attend each session. |
| AUDITORS: Interested students may obtain permission to audit the course from Jerry Davis (Business School) or Michael Cohen (School of Information). |
