Connecting to the SI Wireless Network

  1. You will need to be in a location at SI North or SI West Hall where the wireless network is available.
  2. If your computer does not find wireless networks automatically, select SI-Wireless-WH (on Central campus) or SI-Wireless-North (on North campus) from your list of Available Networks.
  3. Launch a web browser. Click 'Yes' to accept the security certificate.

  4. Your web browser home page will be redirected to the SI Wireless Network authentication page.

  5. Log in by typing in your uniqname in the 'User Name' box and your UM Kerberos password in the 'Password' box. Click 'Submit'.
  6. You are now connected to the SI Wireless Network.

Note: This wireless network supports 802.11a/b/g connections. If you roam out of range, put your computer in hibernation/sleep mode or turn it off, you will be automatically logged out of the SI Wireless Network.
