What is a PDF?
PDF stands for Portable Document File Format.
This format is designed for universal distribution readable on many different
computer platforms such as UNIX/Windows/Macintosh/LINUX
Acrobat Reader is a free application that are used by Millions
that allow them to View search print PDF documents.
PDF's are for both high resolution printing or compressed for the web, since
PDF's can be made smaller than the original file.
Another advantage to using PDF's is the look and feel of the document does not
change over differnet platforms or internet browsers...this is an important
fact when dealing with schematics or legal documents.

PDF files can be created in several ways and with a varity of
applications.

you office printer as well as creating compressed files for the web.
