Interoperability Working Group Meeting
Ann Arbor, Michigan
September 1st and 2nd, 1998
The Interoperability Working Group (IWG) has been developing a document that outlines major research problems and opportunities in interoperability research related to digital libraries. A version of this report, the basis for this meeting, can be found at
http://www.si.umich.edu/UMDL/EU_Grant/interop/interop.htm . The final version of this report will be submitted to both the NSF and EU. Our objective for this meeting is to finish drafting the report. To achieve the objective, we will have a working meeting. We expect that attendees will read the draft reports on the website, and have comments about them. In particular, we want to make sure that we have the broadest possible coverage of research issues and opportunities. We expect that the attendees will make short statements about the report at the start of the meeting. We will then divide into small groups to edit or rewrite sections of the report. We will then reconvene to discuss the report as a whole.
