Ph.D. student Munson wins Yahoo! Key Technical Challenges grant

(Feb 2008)  SI doctoral student Sean Munson has been awarded a Key Technical Challenges (KTC) grant from Yahoo!.

The Key Technical Challenges Program is a new Yahoo! program that provides a limited number of exceptional PhD students with $5,000 each for the support of their research activities.

As a KTC grant recipient, Munson will also be invited to a summertime Yahoo! workshop focused on novel disciplines and technical challenges for the Internet research community. The workshop is geared specifically to graduate students whose innovative work is just emerging. Yahoo! will cover Munson's travel expenses for the workshop in addition to the grant award.
