The Michigan Difference: Participation, Scholarship, Engagement
Accept the Challenge
It's time to make the Michigan Difference.
In May 2004, the University of Michigan publicly launched a campaign aimed at raising $2.5 billion.
Your participation is critical in helping the School of Information meet our Michigan Difference → campaign goals:
Participation |
The School seeks to set the standard for the
University of Michigan for individual donor
participation by colleges and schools. Your gift will ensure our success.
|
Scholarship |
For the School to attract the brightest and most diverse students possible, it must increase support for scholarships. Your gift to either an established scholarship fund or for a new one will enable us to offer support to some of the nation's best students. |
Engagement |
The W.K. Kellogg Foundation invested generously in the School of Information, providing $2 million in endowment in 1996 to support the innovative Practical Engagement Program, which arranges internships, field experiences, and other experiential, hands-on learning opportunities for students. We are committed to adding an additional $1 million to the PEP endowment; already we're more than halfway toward our goal. |
Make the Commitment
Giving to the School of Information is a personal decision. To help make the process of giving simpler, the School offers several ways for you to make a tax-deductible gift.
Direct
Direct gifts, payable by check or credit card, are always accepted. Credit card gifts may be made online via the U-M Online Giving site →. You may also make a gift by phone at (734) 647-6179. When giving with a credit card, you may choose to pay over time.
Endowment
Gifts to established scholarship funds are always welcome. For information about creating a new
scholarship fund, call (734) 647-7652.
Bequest and/or Securities
Many donors choose to provide for the University of Michigan in their estate plans. Gifts are also accepted through transfers of securities at any time.
If you work for a matching-gift company, please enclose the appropriate form. Additional information about giving to the School of Information is available through the U-M Online Giving site →.
