Join Us for Homecoming!
Can't wait for football season to start so that you can return to campus and see old friends? Then you'll want to know now about two special homecoming events for School of Information alumni on Saturday, Sept. 26.
- The School has a limited number of football tickets for the Indiana game for sale. Kickoff is at noon.
- The School is offering a limited number of complimentary tickets to the 33rd annual U-M Alumni Association's Go Blue Homecoming Tailgate.
Here are the details:
Football Tickets
Football tickets are $55 each. You must make your purchase through the School of Information by Monday, Aug. 31. See below for information about ordering yours.
Go Blue Tailgate
The Go Blue Homecoming Tailgate will be in the Oosterbaan Field House (within walking distance of Michigan Stadium). Transportation will be provided for those unable to walk to the game.
Each SI graduate is eligible for up to six complimentary tickets -- both adult and children's tickets (ages 5-12) are available. You must order your tailgate tickets by Friday, Sept. 11. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The tailgate will begin at 9 a.m.
- Look for the SI table when you arrive at the tailgate.
- The tailgate will include a complete buffet with both breakfast and lunch items.
- Entertainment will feature U-M student performance groups, the Michigan marching band and cheerleaders, and for the children, diversions like video games and pinball machines.
- Further details about the tailgate will be posted as the date nears. REMEMBER: If you wish to receive complimentary tickets, you must order directly from the School of Information and NOT through the U-M Alumni Association.
Ticket Ordering
To order your ticket(s), call (734) 647-8031 or write to si.homecoming@umich.edu and state the number of football tickets you wish to buy and/or the number of tailgate tickets you wish to receive. For the tailgate, please specify the number of adult and children's tickets. Arrangements to get your football tickets, including method of payment, will be made when we contact you about your order.
Hotel Rooms
If you need hotel accommodations during homecoming weekend, you should reserve early. Rooms go fast! A block of hotel rooms has been reserved for SI alumni at the Holiday Inn on Plymouth Road and U.S. 23. Call: 1-800-800-5560 before Aug. 15 and specify "School of Information Reunion." The room rate is $199 per night.
