Minnie is known as the woman's blues guitar hero. She was a Chicago
blues artist that recorded four decades of music. She earned the
respect of her peers with her solid musicianship. Her best work
consisted of deep blues like "Moaning the Blues". She was very versatile
in her songs though, and incorporated African-American folk, popular
music, spirituals, comic dialog, and old time dance pieces into
her performances.
