These Flowers
by Matthew Arington

I walk through the park, wondering what I should do
Thinking, is this the best for me, searching for some clue
She had hurt me so much, but won me so easily
Like she is at the controls, the controls being me

Chorus:

These flowers are for you, but shouldn't be
Because they hold me back, when I should be free
I need to let you go, no more of you do I quench
Looking back only to see, the roses tumbling over the bench

This will hurt me more than it will ever hurt you
Knowing that it's just something I have to do
I wish it could be different, that you could be mine
that we could be together, joining the loers grape vine

Chorus:

Thses flowers are for you, but shouldn't be
Because they hold me back, when I should be free
I need to let you go, no more of you do I quench
Looking back only to see, the roses tumbling over the bench

Now saying our good-bye's, I wish you the best
lnowing that the up coming challenge, is a great test
Learning to live without you, to forgetand move on
Finding a new purpose in life because your gone

Chorus:

These flowers are for you, but shouldn't be
Because they hold me back, when I should be free
I need to let you go, no more of you do I quench
Looking back only to see, the roses tumbling over the bench
