Caption: The Mokattam. The great slanting rock by the road up to the top of the Mokattam Hills. Arab tradition says Noah moored the ark to this. Below are tombs, and the line of an aqueduct. Modern Cairo is around to the right. Looking we st across the Nile valley. A trace of the Nile shows at the right. In the distance clear across the valley may be seen the Great Pyramids of Ghizeh.
