Welcome! The University of Michigan School of Information has been a leader in ensuring that innovations in information science and technology are brought to bear in service of the public good. The Community Information Corps (CIC) is at the heart of that effort. CIC serves as focal point for students, faculty, alumni and community members from across disciplines to explore the changing role of information and technology in civil society.

Community News
This is just a reminder that there will be a Community Informatics meeting on Friday at 5pm in 311 West Hall.
I recently came across a new ebook, Occupation: Change the World (http://www.myoccupation.org/), that has a wealth of information that might be of interest to community informatics folks.
This book includes community informatics-related things such as:

Next Sunday, November 23rd, Dan Atkins will be hosting a
get together for the Community Information Corps at his home on the
west side of Ann Arbor. The event will run from 5:30-7:30 pm and will
be catered by Shalimar, a great local Indian restaurant. Vegetarian
options will be provided. Partners are welcome. I would be happy to
