SI 615: Special Topics: Digital Libraries
Provides students with an integrated understanding of the research frontiers of the evolving environment called "digital libraries." The course explores the evolving definition of a digital library and technical, managerial, economic, and legal issues associated with them. The topic is treated from an international perspective and includes consideration of digital library research and development underway in Europe and Asia as well as the U.S.
