How to Retrieve an Available File
To retrieve a particular file from the Kellogg CRISTAL-ED discussion, send an electronic mail message (you need not fill in the "subject" line of your message) to:
The body of your electronic message should contain the following phrase (but type in the name of the file in the place of the word "filename"):
get cristal-ed filename
How to Retrieve Archival Copies of the Digests
1. Via E-mail Commands
The digests are mailed out, labeled V1.N1, V1.N2, V1.N3, etc. To retrieve a specific digest, send the following E-mail message (you need not fill in the "subject" line of your message) to:
The body of the electronic mail message be the the command syntax as outlined above. In other words:
get cristal-ed filename
To get two different digests, put each command to retrieve the digest on a separate line as follows (the example below uses the zero):
get cristal-ed V01.N02
get cristal-ed V08.N06
get cristal-ed V09.N12
Also remember that UNIX is unforgiving about differences between upper and lower case letters. So, trying to retrieve the issue "v1.n2" will not work.
2. Via the WWW and a Browser
You may also read the postings with your Web browser and download the file by using the "save as" feature, such as in Netscape, Mosaic, or Internet Explorer, at:
3. Via FTP
