The University of Michigan has a thriving LGBT community. We cannot
list all of them so here is a small sampling:
U-M Office of Lesbian, Gay,
Bisexual, and Transgender Affairs
The Office of LGBT Affairs provides a comprehensive range of education,
information and advocacy services. It works to create and maintain an open, safe and inclusive environment for
lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students, faculty, and staff, their families and friends, and the campus
community at large. The Office of LGBT Affairs web site contains the most comprehensive list of campus LGBT organizations.
U-M Law
School OutLaws (The Out Law Student Alliance)
OutLaws (The Out Law Students Alliance) is an organization open to
all law students who wish to work for the promotion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender liberation, civil
rights and the decriminalization of consensual sexual behavior.
LGBT
Caucus of the Labor Party
The Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgendered Caucus of the Labor Party was
formed at the founding conference of the Party in Cleveland on June 6-9, 1996. The organization serves as a voice
and network for lesbian, gay male, bisexual, and transgendered people within the Labor Party.
