UMSI students, faculty, and staff engage in activities throughout the area as a way to give back to the community. Here are examples of our projects.
More than 100 University of Michigan School of Information students, faculty, and staff contributed their time and talents during a Saturday, January 14 service day in the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti communities. Each year, approximately 150 MSI students at UMSI participate in the Alternative Spring Break program, working at nonprofit organizations in Detroit, Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C. Take a look at some of the projects our students have completed.
The School of Information will receive the Provost’s award for the highest percentage of participation in the university-wide 2011 United Way campaign.
