Alternative Spring Break at SI

Alternative Spring Break

The School of Information's Alternative Spring Break (ASB) project places interested and motivated graduate students, during the week of spring break, in professional work environments in the public sector. As an ASB participant, you can:
  • Provide a service to an organization, institution, or community
  • Gain practical job experience
  • Develop leadership skills as an information professional
  • Learn new skills
  • Create professional partnerships
  • Pursue your field of interest
The SI ASB program does not provide academic credit, but the School of Information, with the help of external sponsors and donors, covers your travel and lodging costs. For more information, visit the SI ASB site. You can also view a Flash video commemorating 10 years of ASB programs at the School of Information.
