Engagement in the real-world -- from paid corporate internships to weeks spent volunteering with nonprofits to group projects solving problems with government agencies -- is central to the School of Information's (SI) educational and research philosophies.

SI's Career Development Office provides support for these endeavors, including the MSI degree's Practical Engagement Program.

Creating Leadership for the Information Professions

The Career Development Office offers programs aimed at achieving the following objectives:

Practical Engagement Program

The Practical Enagement Program (PEP) is an integral part of SI's Master of Science in Information program. The MSI program's PEP requirement can be met in a number of ways:
