Project Outcomes
I had a great experience working for the National Park Service. I was able to put into practice a lot of the ideas I've learned at SI. While I was at the park, we made great progress on processing the Quincy Mining Company Records, and other archival collections. I worked in the library regularly, shelving books as they were returned, organizing videos, shelving periodicals as they came in, and working on the vertical files. I also participated in a research project in support of the park's historic resource study, and numerous other projects including providing reference service, doing some salvage work, and even working with some of the objects in the park's museum collections.
