Email

Interlect Co. Ltd is a private, Norwegian owned Japanese software company. Interlect develops and sells a course tool management system to Japanese higher education institutions.

Project Objectives

  • Create marketing and presentation materials for our products and concept
  • Represent the company at three trade shows
  • Prepare corporate brochures, posters, handouts, and any items for corporate promotion
  • Write up case studies about how customers are using the products
  • Create narrative and simulated contents of learning courseware for basic accounting and finance

Learning Objectives

  • Gain in-depth understanding of the Japanese academic community
  • Strengthen public relations practices for in-house developed products including interviewing current clients, writing external use of materials, and managing promotional projects
  • Learn how to cooperate directly with product developers and sales representatives for product promotion

Project Outcomes

My supervisor and our sales reps were very enthusiastic about the final marketing products I created. Using those materials, we doubled the number of visitors who tried our trial applications at our trade show booths. All of the marketing materials are now online. Three business proposals were successfully delivered to our clients. One of them was submitted directly to the Japanese Ministry of Education in order for our client to receive authorization for a new master's program.
