Project Outcomes
By the end of my internship, I processed five folders (approximately 200 documents or 1200 pages) of material for digitization. This included creating inventory lists for each folder, special transmittal notes for each document, preservation photocopying, file-naming, and shipping the material out to our vendors.
As part of this internship, I also co-authored an article on the start-up costs associated with building a digital library. It was accepted by the Internet Reference Service Quarterly for publication in Spring 2006. It is tentatively titled "Going Broke, Going Digital."
