Project Objectives

  • Design features for the next release of a Xerox Production Print Controller
  • Communicate and present information by completing informal design reviews and completing a final presentation of the design contribution to the IDHI Management Team

Learning Objectives

  • Learn the various processes and details involved in designing the user interface of a complex system and working on cross functional teams
  • Gain hands-on experience with tasks involved in user interface design
  • Gain knowledge of project and program planning and development, multidisciplinary organization teamwork, and User Interface Dialog development and delivery via established Xerox process

Project Outcomes

I delivered a behavior specification document to the development team for final review. To get to the final behavior specification delivery stage I went through the IDHI design process from conceptual design to final physical design. The final design was an effort to address the known issues and at the same time be sensitive to development and business goals. I also successfully delivered high-fidelity Flash prototypes of the complete set of next release features to be tested in a usability test and led the initial planning phase of the usability test.
