Travelocity is an online travel agent that provides travelers with airline, hotel, car rental, and attractions options for thousands of US and international destinations.
Project Objectives
- Build a Flight+Hotel packaging interface for Sabre Travel Network travel agents
- Use information architecture artifacts to communicate user needs to business, design, and developer groups within Travelocity
- Create wireframes, functional specifications, and content inventories that constitute a user-centered design

Learning Objectives
- Become familiar with the tools used by information architects at Travelocity
- Communicate user centered design principles in the design of the Sabre Travel Network Custom Trip website
- Apply user centered design and evaluation techniques from UM to existing Travelocity practices
- Research the travel agent community, develop personas, and understand the users' needs

Project Outcomes
While at Travelocity, I designed and laid out the project's home page and help section. All of my deliverables met user and business requirements. I recommended a new business process for the Travelocity employee suggestion program that was immediately implemented. The highlight of my internship was when I won third place in Travelocity Intern Case Competition.
