SI SpotlightSusan Dziadosz (MSI '99)
"I spent a lot of time researching graduate programs similar to SI and concluded that SI was moving in the right direction the farthest and fastest, and that I wanted to be part of that momentum."
|
Before SI: Earned a BS in mathematics and was at work on a Ph.D. in math at U-M when SI beckoned: "It was easy to tell that SI students were excited about what they were doing, and that they were doing extraordinary things."
At SI: Completed an internship in the User Interfaces Group at Microsoft Research, working with a cognitive psychologist. The two worked to design and carry out user studies on software interfaces developed by their group. "Some of what we did was experimental research," she says, "while some was closer to usability studies."
After SI: After eight years as a usability engineer at Microsoft, Susan is now taking a break before deciding what is next for her.
