SI SpotlightA. Candace Goss Bulkley (MSI '99)
"I'm using every drop of information I learned at SI," Candace says when describing how her education fits in with her job responsibilities.

Before SI: Double-majored in French and art history at U-M. Worked in quality control for the Journal Storage (JSTOR) project at SI when she was an undergraduate. Also worked for two years as a research associate at a safety consulting firm.
At SI: Did a DFE at the Detroit business-law firm of Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer & Weiss, which helped prepare her for her current job and fostered a relationship with a librarian mentor at Jaffe that continues today.
Worked at Applied Safety & Ergonomics, a safety consulting firm, as an information specialist, applying the skills she was learning at SI at the time.
Did a summer internship at Advanced Information Consultants, honing her skills as a document detective in their document delivery department.
Worked with the Internet Public Library. "My work with the IPL has helped me tremendously in my current position."
Won the Margaret Mann Award for student leadership and served as president of the SI Student Association (SISA).
After SI: Now project coordinator for digital content creation at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Previously, she was manager of information and knowledge services at the Detroit law firm of Butzel Long. She provided library and research services while also overseeing the firm's intranet. Served as president of the SI Alumni Society for 2004-05.
