Ruben Mendoza (MSI '99)


Ruben Mendoza

Of the students he taught during his summer internship: "It's extremely satisfying to see people who two days ago didn't know how to turn on a computer who can now ask informed computer-related questions."

Before SI: Earned a BS in electrical engineering; born in El Salvador and raised in New York City.

At SI: Interned with Latino Family Services in Detroit as a computer instructor, teaching teenagers the basics of personal computing, Internet connectivity, and desktop publishing. Simultaneously earned an MBA from the U-M Ross School of Business.

After SI: An associate professor at the Erivan K. Haub School of Business at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia.
