e-thePeople
SI students Anthony Abernathy and Henry Chou spent their ASB week working with e-thePeople, a self-proclaimed "digital town hall for the nation." The students were challenged to be flexible during the week as they tackled some unexpected projects that required a wide range of their technical and analytical skills.
Utilizing his programming background, Anthony worked on an e-thePeople web design project. Showing remarkable poise and aptitude, he dove into the project despite not having used the programming language, Perl before! As such, he came away from ASB with even more skills.
Meanwhile, Henry took on the task of creating from scratch an e-thePeople member survey in order to learn about member use of e-thePeople resources and forums. He drafted letters to members, collected data from their responses and created a matrix of the data that the organization can use to evaluate member participation. He concluded his week with a summary and presentation of the project for his supervisors.
